- A new tool designed to test and diagnose specific
faults on Delphi, Bosch, Siemens and Denso common rail
Providing direct high-pressure readout and low pressure flow measurement, the
YDT278, 'sealed rail pressure and backleakage tester' enables technicians to
quickly identify fuelling problems on any common rail system.
Until now, the vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) has been able to identify
that a failure has occurred within the Common Rail system but unable to pinpoint
the exact cause. In that case the only solution would be to replace the whole
common rail system, which is
time consuming and expensive. The sealed rail diagnostic kit identifies the exact
part responsible for any loss of fuel pressure and the problem can be resolved.
Delphi Common Rail systems are already fitted to many Ford, Renault, Kia and
Hyundai vehicles and many new applications are planned for the near future.
